Jeff Taylor, owner of Sacramento Skull Works, has grown up around animals--mostly exotics, like reptiles--and has had a fascination for all living things since he was young. He has experience breeding and caring for many varieties of animals and continues this hobby today. Hunting has become a way of life; the desire to "use the whole animal" led to even the skull being used. 

Jeff began his colony of Dermestid beetles to clean his own skulls and, through trial and error, learned the ins and outs of using beetles as the starting point for producing trophy-quality pieces.
